Lord Of The Rings Gollum Teaser Trailer Out Now!

Lord Of The Rings Gollum Teaser Trailer Out Now!

The first CG teaser trailer for the upcoming ‘historic video game ‘The Lord of the Rings Gollum’ has just been dropped by Daedalic Entertainment officially. The trailer was announced last year. Other than several screenshots from a German magazine in May, not much has been released about the game Lord of the Rings Gollum.

The teaser trailer is short and to the point. It at least points to the fact that Daedalic is in the mood now to provide more insight into The Lord of the Rings Gollum game.

The game’s story is written as a prequel to the book. So, it is clear that the game shall follow Gollum/Smeagol from his own perspective and that this stealth-action video game will be heavily based on narrative.

IGN’s story on the teaser trailer, which is exclusive to the outlet, includes some further details as well.

Lord Of The Rings Gollum From the Trailer

“The Lord of the Rings is one of the most epic and renowned stories of all time – it’s an honor for us to have the opportunity to work on our own contribution to this universe,” Carsten Fichtelmann, CEO and Co-Founder of Daedalic Entertainment, stated when the title was first announced. “In Gollum, players will assume the role of one of the most iconic characters in Middle-earth. We tell Gollum’s story from a perspective never seen before, in any storytelling medium, all the while staying true to the legendary books of J.R.R. Tolkien.”

In the teaser trailer, which can be watched above, Gollum is in a cave. He comes out to glance out on the volcano, known as Mount Doom, the One in which Ring is eventually destroyed in The Lord of the Rings

The opening of the trailer teaser shows some rather rank-looking dead fish. An opening does justice to an atmosphere and surroundings that yells “Gollum.” It seems Gollum has quite an artistic mind because There’s a lot of ‘lovely’ cave art too.

Climbing across roughly jagged rocks in his little shorts– in his signature style, Gollum is seen walking on all four hands and legs. This is a good depiction of Gollum that we all love.

As for the scenery, in the distance, Mt. Doom is visible. A crow-like Crebain can also be seen flying across Mordor, which actually belonged to Saruman. The crow is seen keeping an eye out for any kind of threat to his master.

When Gollum sees them, He almost shits himself. But then he suddenly steps back out into the open after realizing that they’re well on their path to the Isengard. Now he steps outside, staring for long at the fires that will one day see him temporarily reunite with the One Ring and then burn.

The last bit is the best part of the trailer. As it fades out to the title screen, Gollum says his name “Gollum.” It reminds one of the iconic little troublemakers of Andy Serkis’ version. Since Andy Serkis is good, so this is a good thing.

Some more screenshots of The Lord of the Rings Gollum can be seen at this link, If you’re you’re finding way too much curious for the game.

Daedalic is without any doubt trying its best to explore this Gollum’s dual personality in much more depth than has ever been explored.

Since some of the images apparently show a large number of giant spiders and the Mines of Mordor so we might be clashing with Shelob.

Gamestar.de  presented a preview for the game, sometimes back. But unluckily, most of the information granted paid access. However, The gallery granted access without payment. Click here to take a look at them.

One must understand that the game is still in development. But those images, quite honestly, are not so promising. Probably, this is the reason we’re only getting a CGI teaser trailer.

Platform For Release Of Lord Of The Rings Gollum

Way back in March 2019, The game was announced for PC and “all relevant console platforms at that time” and it has now been confirmed that means what it actually meant was that The Lord of the Rings Gollum is planned to be launched for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. The year will be 2024.
